Beginning A Photography Blog is Fun

By Lauren Kay

It seems like just about everyone has a cell phone camera these days that can take photos of just about anything in a matter of moments. Using digital pictures instead of the traditional film photos is cost-effective, there is no used paper to end up in the garbage and they take up virtually no physical space at all!

And what is better than just taking lots of digital pictures is the fun way you can display them to others. There are lots of different ways to let others enjoy your photos, from digital picture frames to printing them out to storing them on your mobile phone. Whether you are an expert photographer or an amateur shutterbug you'll still enjoy the ease of digital photography.

One of the newest ways to share your photos to others is with a photo blog. A "web log" or blog is a website that allows an author to post instant updates onto Internet about just about any topic imaginable. A photo "web log" can include the digital photographs you took on any specific day or trip. You can include comments about your photos and you can tell people about why you took the images and where you were when you took them.

To start a photo blog you only need to find some free blogging websites and pick a blog name. Most blogging websites are easy to get started with. You just write your comments out in a post, insert your digital photos from your camera and the blogging software pretty much does the rest. When you are happy with a post you "publish" it and everyone on the planet can instantly view it!

With a photo blog you can not only share your photos with others but you can also allow visitors to write comments on your posts. If you allow comments on your photos then you can also discover what other people like and don't like about your images. Getting commends from visitors to your blog is part of the excitement of putting your images online.

You can put up a bunch of photos of a trip to Florida one day and then post images of some children playing in your front yard the next day. Don't worry about always writing a article that's going to make other people happy. It is your photography blog and you can put up photos of whatever you like. Just try to have fun with the ability to share your digital images so easily with your own blog! - 30452
