Being on a budget should not mean you need to sacrifice great pictures, the look of your wedding or the feel of the day. Budget wedding photography is possibly, along with budget wedding gowns and even reception halls. All you have to do is, know where to look and how to talk when you are trying to save yourself some money on the vendors you want to use.

Yes we are in the middle of a major kitchen remodel. Imagine taking your old semi-functional kitchen, stripping it down to the studs, knocking out a wall or two and then starting over. That is what we are immersed in these days. I decided a few weeks ago that I was going to be nothing but positive about the process no matter how painful it gets. So to that end I decided to start taking pictures everyday of the progress. Well almost everyday as there are days when no progress is made. It helps me keep my sense of humor and it has also given me a better perspective on the project that has allowed me to give my wife input on direction that might otherwise not been received too well if you know what I mean.
Be confident when you are asking for a discounted rate. Your posture and confidence level says a lot about you and just might be the winning factor for getting your budget wedding photography done at the price you can afford. Don't be willing to compromise with your style either. It's your day, and no one, including the venders should try to change your mind about what you want. You have been envisioning your wedding day since you were knee high to a grasshopper. Don't let anyone take your vision away from you.
The style you choose for your wedding pictures should not be a weighing factor in the price of them. For example, if you prefer to have an artistic style photography for your wedding, do not allow the photographer to talk you into traditional style photography in order for you to be able to have your budget wedding photography done.
Of course one could say that I am protecting myself against problems with the construction and you would be right on some level. But that is not truly why I am doing it. I really want to be able to assemble a full documentation of this process that I can look at down the road when we are fully enjoying our great new kitchen. - 30452
