It was one of the most exciting days of my life when I found out Emma wanted for me to be her maid of honor. It was a role I cherished and could not wait to commence my duties. It was not long after I was asked to be maid of honor that my first task was assigned and Emma and I were on our way to planning the most wonderful wedding because the first task on our list was to find the perfect Utah wedding photography. We browsed the internet to find a photographer, when finally we found someone who specialized in Salt Lake City modeling photography, but the photographer said she would be happy to also photograph the wedding. After seeing the woman's photographs, Emma really wanted her to be the photographer for the wedding. Now that we were finished with our first task, it was time to attempt to take care of the next item on our to-do list.
About a week later, Emma and I went to the dress store with Emma's mother, sister, and future mother-in-law for the perfect wedding dress. It did not take very much time before Emma found the dress of her dreams. It was a nice, classic strapless, white dress with little beads scattered all around the dress. It was the perfect dress for Emma and everyone in the store started cry as soon as she came out of the dressing room in the gown. After we were able to find the perfect wedding gown, Emma and I moved on to our next task.
A few days after we found that beautiful gown, Emma really wanted to begin organizing her bridal shower. Emma had already decided she liked the idea of having a nice, quiet bridal shower at a tea house in downtown Salt Lake City with her female family members and friends. This was relatively simple to plan because all that needed to be done was to make a reservation at a tea house.
Finally, after pretty much the majority of the preparations had been finished I was left with the task of writing the toast I would give at the reception. It was much more challenging than I had anticipated to come up with the right words for the speech, but the words came soon enough and the day before the wedding the toast was complete.
On the day of the wedding, the event went as smoothly as it could have gone. Emma was a really gorgeous bride and it was an honor to stand up at the altar at her side. After all of the hard work we put into planning the big day it was nice to see everything go so well, especially because Emma really wanted a perfect wedding. The bride and groom along with the wedding party decided to stay at the reception until the wee hours of the night. It was truly a great time. In fact, I enjoyed being maid of honor so much that I hope to have the honor of playing the role again because it was so much fun to see one of my best friends have the perfect wedding and knowing that I was able to help put it together to make my friend happy was one of the best feelings in the world! - 30452
