A disposable underwater camera is a wonderfully cheap and solid purchase for anyone planning on going on a vacation or someone who travels often. They are made to be more heavy-duty than normal disposable models as they are made to keep water outside of the easily broken inside. They are much cheaper than a whole underwater camera, which can cost upwards of 1,500 dollars. Underwater disposable models are something that any vacationer or traveler would do well to consider before going on their big trip.

Though the main purpose for the underwater disposable is to take pictures beneath the water's surface, there are other places where this sturdy camera might be beneficial. Underwater disposables are great for using at the beach, the pool, or in the desert - where sand, sun, and water might prove to damage expensive digital equipment and lenses. In this regard, the disposable underwater camera can be considered to be an all weather camera that is ready to take shots no matter how inclement the weather.

You can use the disposable underwater camera while doing a huge variety of outdoor activities. Some of which include surfing, fishing, and even snorkeling. Many disposable underwater cameras are waterproof up to 50 feet - so getting that memorable shot has never been so easy.

When buying your underwater single use camera, be sure to look for one that is rugged and durable. Your camera should feature an easy to grip construction that will allow you to hold onto it easily, even if you're wearing gloves. The camera should also be small enough to fit in your pocket. There are multiple versions of the disposable underwater camera - all of which are preloaded with film and are usually 400 speed, and most have anywhere from 27-36 exposures. Don't plan to spend too much on this camera, as the majority are priced at under $20, many even lower. Many stores will offer bundle packages of three or more cameras at a discount.

With this kind of camera, keep in mind that purchasing name brand does not equal getting a better camera. There are extensive off-brand disposable underwater cameras that function just as good as the more famous brands on the market. You should also look for a model that has a flash feature in order to get really good underwater images.
